Dear PSC Members,
This month's social meeting, we will meet at West Marine Alexandria, located at 601 S Patrick St. We are especially grateful to West Marine for hosting us and for offering PSC members special annual savings opportunities.
Happy hour and networking begin at 6:00 p.m., and the meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. with a short icebreaker. We encourage you to arrive early to enjoy pizza, celebrate our February/March/April birthdays with cake, have a beverage, browse West Marine’s merchandise, and spend time with fellow sailors.
Our special speaker this month will be Bert Bossar, Chairman of the Bermuda Ocean Race.
Bert is very familiar with the Chesapeake Bay, where he skippers his J/42 Allegiant in mid-distance regattas. He also leads his crew in annual long-distance events such as the Annapolis to Bermuda, Annapolis to Newport, Newport to Bermuda and Marblehead to Halifax offshore races. Bert is an active member of the Herrington Harbor Sailing Association and Eastport Yacht Club, where he also chairs the 2026 Annapolis to Bermuda Ocean Race.
If you or someone you know has a unique perspective, skill, or experience related to sailing and would be interested in presenting to our membership, please contact our Membership Commodore for more information.

Dear PSCers:
Monthly Membership social meetings are held the third Monday of every month (3rd Tuesday, when Monday is a holiday), except in December when the annual Holiday Party & Awards Dinner takes the place of the regular social meeting.
We normally have dinner together, hear from a guest speaker, and then conduct a business meeting. All year long, it's a good time!
We'll be at the Alexandria West Marine (601 S Patrick St) this month!
Happy Hour and networking starts at 6:00 pm and meeting starts at 7:00 pm with a short ice-breaker. We recommend that you come early to have some food (pizza!!), birthday cake for our April birthdays, and drinks, browse through West Marine's merchandise, and hang around with other sailors.
Do you or someone you know have a unique or interesting insight, skill, or experience related to some aspect of sailing you would be willing to present to our membership?

Last BBQ of the Season!
Register here: https://www.pentagonsailing.org/event-6550124
The Hydrilla Cup is a PSC social event hosted by the Racing Squadron. Join us for a day of races, fellowship, and a cookout!
The main event will be a series of two to three races on the Potomac River in which teams of PSC members compete against each other to claim victory on one of our Capri 22's. We'll follow the racing with a cookout at the marina.
This is also a great opportunity to try out for PSC's 2027 racing team.
This event is free, but registration is required since there's limited space on the boats. If you'd like to share a dish for the cookout, please send a note to racing@pentagonsailing.org. If you'd like to attend the cookout but not sail, there's unlimited space to attend.
Note: This event is held on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling; you must have an ID card (or a DIBDS card) that allows access to the base to participate.
